    5 Years Ago Today

5 years ago today I released My Cracker from his horrible bondage to cancer. What a privilege it was to have him for those 6 years. What a great companion, he was my mentor, he was MY DOG, MY HEART DOG.

I want to thank all the members of this board and Woody for the relationships we acquired.

My Cracker, My Heart Dog Furever.
But now Gabe has softened the grief, but it always be there.

Please take some time out of each day to hug your dog and appreciate what a wonderful companion God has given us.
Mike -yes I am crying my eyes out as I am writing

One of our favorite dogs, Magpie, died of the same horrid cancer Cracker had. The memory still brings me to tears. I know Gabe cannot take his place but he does occupy his own happy space in your heart. Thinking good thoughts of Cracker today!

Hugs It's so hard when they are gone. Sometimes one will pop into my mind and tears will flow. I too have been so fortunate to have some very special souls share their love with our family. I have been blessed and that's what I have to remember and hold on to.

Cracker is always with you, in your heart.

I'm sure there are more than a few of us shedding some tears. So very sorry for the loss of such a young dog. I truly feel your pain.

I lost my first yellow lab to cutaneous lymphoma. It's so very hard to say goodbye. May Cracker forever rest in peace. By the way I always loved that name

Good boy, Cracker, you did your job well.

I won't be able to cross the bridge myself, it'll be blocked by so many waiting for me. Oh, I guess they'll let me through.

Thank you for reminding us to enjoy each precious moment. I gave Macy a big squeeze and said "From Cracker"
