    Fish butt rescue.

We all know our labs sometimes eat unusual stuff and need assistance in removing said unusual item from their butt.
Last night was a first for me if not the weirdest item removed from a butt, but it wasn't one of the dogs it was my Blueface Angel fish! He apparently swallowed one of the rubber bands that I use to hold down the live plants so they can take root in the tank. I noticed something hanging out of their butt late last night and realized it was a rubber band and in a panic I tried to catch him with no luck and soon realized I was stressing him out. I decided to turn off the tank lights and wait till he fell asleep hoping he would survive a few more hrs. till I was able to catch him and around 1am I was a me to retrieve said rubber band from his butt. So far today he is acting quite normal much to my relief. He is a magnificent specimen at about 6-7 inches long and we've had him at least seven years.
My biggest problem was what to name this thread.....lol

    Here's what he looks like

Gorgeous fish! Glad he is acting normal and the "extraction" was a success.

First I've ever heard of that type of recovery of a foreign object.

That's a beautiful fish...so glad your extraction went well.

I thought for sure this thread was going to be about anal glands....

Thought for sure this was going to be about dog anal glands. This has to be the most surprising and one of most interesting threads ever. Glad Mr. Blueface is ok. What's his name?

Ohhhh! Another fish person. Here is one of my tanks, a 55 gallon freshwater tank. I really like having live plants. They just make it look so nice...

Here is another small 20 gallon I just set up.
