    Sock Ball!

That's all. Last night I took one of Hoku's bones, and put it in one of my husband's socks (yes, he had worn it: that's the point—she loves chewing on socks people have worn. Yes, it's gross: that's the point—she's a Lab). She was delighted! Then we upped the game and put one of her giant tennis balls into a sock. Oh my god. She loves it. Can fling it around and then go chase it herself. It's like two of her favorite things combined. Hilarious. Cheap. Highly recommended.

I have a pair of ugly beige socks that I hated wearing (but left dirty) and one black sock that I roll up together. Throws just like a ball, and then Sophie gets to separate them again.

Hoku's love affair w/ socks sounds so gross—I'm glad other Lab owners can understand!

Bubba doesn't care about socks, but my old lab loveddd them. Sock in her mouth every time someone came to the door! It led to a lot of separated sock pairs haha

We knew a Chocolate Lab that devoured socks. I mean, it was a huge problem (larger problem was that the owners wouldn't keep the dang laundry room door closed), and made the dog repeatedly sick. I was very worried that Hoku would be a sock eater, but she's just ended up being a huge sock... chewer. Sucker. She just likes to have a sock in her mouth. In the mornings she'll go find one of my son's socks, jump up onto the bed, and mouth it.

I should try the dirty sock trick! For thor it's freshly worn shoes. Kick off a sweaty pair of work boots or running shoes and next thing you know Thor has his nose shoved in it and is running around like a lunatic with a shoe hanging off his snout.
