    Unhappy Jake 10/15/02-9/22/16

    the LP finally got him. i tried all the chinese herbs for senility, as that hit him too. then for his sphincter. but , with it all, at just shy of 14, jake was done. he told me last night and tho nick was reluctant, i stood my ground, and off to the vet we went at 8 this morning.

    vangie depressed, isolating, on a different floor from eli, who even seems to get it and isn't trying to pull her around by her throat.

    it's a sad day in our house today.
    his picture, now up, next to rex's , along with his collar around the frame.
    he should be home oct 3, a day after my birthday. swell.

    just wanted to let you guys know, even tho I'm hardly on anymore since my ankle seems to consume me.

    I can't even think of the right words to say. I'm sorry you lost Jake. I know you did absolutely everything possible for him. You were able to read his needs and gave him the sort of love he needed today, as difficult as it was for you. My condolences to you all. RIP Jake.
