Lab Board Mojo needed for Bacon's BFF

This weekend Jake and I went hunting with our very good friends and another couple. We had 3 dogs hunting with us, Bacon, Bibi (Bacon's BFF) and another lab. We did not have good luck hunting (nothing was flying) so we packed up early. As we packed up, we made sure all of the dogs were in their spots, Bacon with us, Bibi with her dad Cliff and the other lab was supposed to be in her spot too. Well, the other lab was not in her spot. The other lab then wandered over by Bibi, who was sitting by her dad, then all we hear is growling, a yelp, and lots of barking. Bibi was on her back and the other lab was at her throat. Jake jumped over and managed to pry the other dog off Bibi. The other owners of course act like nothing is wrong, and say oh she doesnt bite, she just sounds scary. We thoroughly checked Bibi over and saw no punctures. Apparently this other lab (who is not spayed, and they intend to breed her, but no clearances, dont even get me started!) is aggressive towards other females, but they never said that to us! ARGH!

Fast forward to today, Bibi's Dad notices large lumps on her neck and chest. They rush her to the vet, and Bibi has a large infection, and the vet concludes it is from a bite on her neck. Bibi is now on several different meds, and they expect her to make a full recovery. Just so scary, so angering, so ridiculous! We will never be hunting with that other lab again.

So, please, send some healing mojo for Bibi!

Poor Bibi. I hope her wounds heal up without complications. I'm sure Bibi doesn't want to hunt with that other dog around either!

Prayers sent for a complete recovery for Bibi. What a terrible think to have happen, and it could have easily been prevented if the dogs owners had half a brain.
