    Red Solo Cup!

When we first acquired Romeo I thought I was over prepared. I was minus one dog food scoop thingy so I just reached into the pantry and grabbed a Red Solo Cup. Using a sharpie I marked off some measurements on the side and proceeded to use it to feed Romeo. Everything was going along just fine while he was so little he didn't pay attention to the puppy food delivery device.

    but now....

He goes flippin NUTS! when he sees a RED SOLO CUP! lol

If I go in and get a drink to take outside and he sees my Red Solo Cup his eyes light up and comes charging towards my feet like a bullet. Can't get away from him and the only way to get him to stop is to hide the cup.

I'm going to buy some blue ones tomorrow lol

You can't blame Romeo-he's a lab. Labs love food!
Send us an update once you get the blue cups.
For me, every time I see one of those red Solo cups it brings back memories of college parties.

They're really fast on getting these, for them, very useful associations and that's one of the many things that very often have quite surprising results whether positive or negative. While the positive ones are always welcome, the negative ones can be a real pain and sometimes it takes a painstaking analyses and a lot of thinking to figure out why the dog behaves the way they do. Romeo is obviously a fast learner and I can't wait to see it the change of color will make any difference

Smart guy! Won't take him long to understand the blue either has yummy stuff in it, like the red.

LOL, Cute story of the day award from me.

Dogs are mostly colour blind. Maybe blue won't work either. You'll have to let us know if he can distinguish between blue and red.

How cute. Thanks for putting a smile on my face this morning.

I've got a clear cup, free give away by Innova, with the markings on it. Maybe a clear cup? Have a feeling whatever you use, Romeo is going to pick up on it fast. You're doomed!
