Hi,
I am 32, 33 in 5 days. I am the mother of a 3 and a 6 year old, and I am in the process of trying to get a Lab as a service dog. I have been interested in the breed for awhile now, and trying to get a service dog for about 8 months. I looks like it might happen in the next 2 month or so, so I'm very excited. I want to learn as much as I can about my beloved breed before I get my dog, and get help after I get it. Thanks in advance for the help and friendship!

Hi and welcome! I can certainly understand your excitement: getting a lab, the best dog ever, and then a two-month wait. I believe you've come to the right place with a lot of information and a lot of knowledgeable people who are willing to share their experience. There was a lot more to read here, but the forum unfortunately crashed about a month ago and most, if not all, of the information pool got lost - a real shame.
