Sooo Much Fun...Thank You Dixie DockDogs!!!

Cara & I made the trip south for Dixie DockDogs 1st event & we had a GREAT time

DH & quite a few others called me insane for doing the drive (7 hours) not knowing if Cara would even jump in a pool Carolina DockDogs home dock is on a pond, and we live near the beach so she had never been in one. Fortunately, it proved to be a non-issue

The event was so much fun & I can not say enough great things about the club. EVERYONE was so nice & helpful. It was great getting to see Bill & Nancy again, love their excitement I got to spend time with Emily and get to know her better....she is AWESOME!! And I fell in love with a little one name Willow

We returned home with three 1st place novice ribbons, one 2nd place novice, and one 3rd place novice. She still jumps from a dead stand still , but we are having fun & that is what matters

I'm so glad you were able to make it and thanks for letting me jump Cara...she's so sweet! I really enjoyed getting to know you better and I'm looking forward to the next event!!

And hey....Sydney finally got her 1st place ribbon today in wave 7! She came away with 3 second place ribbons and 1 first place ribbon (all novice)! You missed one exciting day today!

By the way...isn't Willow just the cutest? I keep warning Steve that one of the days I'm going to steal her!!

I should be the one thanking you for jumping Cara....she is no fun waiting in line She loved all the attention and sends to you.

CONGRATULATIONS Sydney!!!! Give her hugs & kisses from me, I am so happy for you two.

I wish we could have stayed, but after seeing the weather radar, glad we left this morning Hoping to see you in September or October.....maybe you should dognap Willow & bring her too

Sounds like it was a fun event! 7 hours doesn't seem all that far to me

I may be dognapping Willow anyway, so I'll probably need a place to stash her for a while.

I also forgot to mention that Sydney posted her second jump over 9 feet today at 9'4''! She bettered her PB yesterday with a 9'7'' (it was 9' before). She and Cara also finished their Novice titles this weekend!! Woohoo!!

Wow! What can I say other than we sure have a great group of club members.....hard workers, dog lovers, and fun people! Our thanks to everyone who helped to make our first event so successful.

And a HUGE thanks to our North Carolina friends for coming down and supporting us. Y'all were awesome!!!

This event did so much to further the sport of dock diving down here. There were newbies crawling out from everywhere to jump their dogs....people that had never even seen a dock diving event before. And they were HUGE jumpers!!

Speed Retrieve, Extreme Vertical, Pro Big Air, and Amateur Big Air were all won by local dogs who had never done any dock diving before. Now, THAT speaks tons for our sport.

I'll be posting pics as soon as I get some. But, to our N.C. club, y'all were super. Thanks for coming and jumping with us. We'll see you in September.

Yep, Nationals it is!! As it gets closer, we'll have to come up with a meeting place.
