Whew...that was fun!!! Macy and her humans, Amy and Shawn, were here for almost two hours (where did the time go?) and Danny is now out like a light. Amy and Shawn are a really neat young couple...you can tell they adore Macy and vice versa. What a great fit. And Amy's folks have a pool and Macy loves the water....who could ask for anything more?

Macy looks wonderful and is still her sweet affectionate self. And even prettier in person than her photos will show. Check out Macy's nose....she has the stripy thing that George had when he was younger (maybe still has....I haven't heard from Charlie). So cool. The brown on Macy's back is darker....the liver color that Sunnie's new coat is coming in as....there's more color variation on her head than my close-up shows. Just beautiful. (can you tell I love this dog?)

I don't know if Sunnie didn't recognize her right away or if it was just Sunnie's "don't touch my shoulders with your paw" thing kicking in, but she growled at Macy at first. I got Shawn to hold Macy backwards so that Sunnie could do a good sniff and then things were OK. I still didn't have Sunnie loose in the yard, though. It could also have been Sunnie not ever having another dog around Danny (if she didn't recognize Macy......it's been 7 weeks since she'd seen her). And I wanted this to be a puppy play date.....Danny and Sunnie have each other 24/7.

Macy Face:

The pups spent most of their time playing hard....Danny has a lot of experience with this since that's what he and Sunnie do all the time. Macy didn't take long to catch on and they were in almost constant motion:

The pups (and Sunnie) all like to jump high when playing. Macy can fly:

Wait....weren't these plants supposed to be flat???:

Well...you know there was some of this going on:

Macy is smart....she just sat down or walked away with the little monkey on her back.

They're both master gardeners and their favorite thing to do is prune:

This is new dad Shawn. I hadn't realized that I didn't take any pictures with Amy in them. Next time!

Although Macy has a bit over two pounds on Danny, they were really well matched:

And I knew you'd ask.....Macy's spiral tail. The spiral is still there but pretty much hidden by hair:

Amy and Shawn live about 30 - 45 minutes from us but plan on having more play dates. It's going to be so nice to get together with them and to watch Macy mature.

PHEW, I tired just looking at the pictures of the energy they expended. They are sooooo cute together. It's great they can get together. What a great loving home.

I know......Danny ate a huge lunch and then zonked. He's been up to pee once and is back to bed. Sunnie's loving it that he's too tired to want her to play.....she can have peace and quiet without being on the other side of a baby gate from him.
