If I didn't like the color and my DH didn't care too much, I'd ask if he minded that I take it back. Likely, he wouldn't mind...he's an easy going guy. But the way I see it, if you're going to be paying for it for a few years (like most people do), it would totally suck to walk out to it every day and go "ewwww...".

I guess it depends on who will be driving it the most and how strongly your DH feels about the color.

I had to jump through hoops to get my car in black. In fact, I had to wait for the car to be pulled off the boat and drive to another state to pick it up. BUT - every single day when I get in it, I am grinning. TOTALLY worth it.

I would let hubby know what a great job he did with all the details, and that you love the truck, but not the colour.

Did you discuss colour with him before-hand? (I personally wouldn't want a white vehicle again, and it seems everybody and their brother has a silver, or pewter, or light gold one....and living where you live, not black either!) If its going to be your vehicle, and you really don't like the colour, then see if dh can tell the dealer that his dw likes the vehicle and the deal, but not the colour, do they have one (or dealer trade from another dealer)in whatever colour(s) you do like.

Something else to think about, you're gonna spend more time in the inside, what colour is the interior? is the interior of the colour you like acceptable as well?

As several others have replied, they don't like to lose a deal, and will usually try hard to get one in the colour you wanted.

PS AnnLee&Me - whats up with Leela's tail? I thought she got over her happy tail?

Love the color....and should mean less time spent keeping it looking clean....

Keep it...you usually get better deals on what they have in the lot.

You will sometimes get better deals on cars that are on the lot. We wanted a Mazda 5 and if we went with the Silver one on the lot we would get this amazing deal so we did....Silver isn't my favourite but really its just a car.

thanks everyone..

This will be my SUV during the week and our family car on the weekends... so mainly I will be driving it. I threw a big fit about the color this morning and it started a fight with DH.

I felt just horrible about my tantrum by the time we got to the dealership today. DH finally agreed that we would look for another color.. but as it turns out this gray/blue was really the best deal out there. The only way to get the color I would want was to drop down to the SE instead of the Platinum..and I just didn't want to give up all the good stuff. Once you have driven the fully loaded model, it is hard to go back to the basic one.

I hope I can get used to the color.. I keep telling myself that "it's what is on the inside that counts".. Right?? lol

So all is well tonight again in our house.. and my happy DH is sound asleep

I'm pretty particular about the color of my cars, HOWEVER if someone were to park a fully loaded Armada in my driveway and say here you go, I wouldn't care what color it was. It could be hot pink for all I care and I'd say thank you very much and would love every minute of it!!!!!

I think eventually you may like that color because I don't think it will show the dirt so badly. My land cruiser was a champagne pearl - absolutely loved that color because it didn't show the dirt until it was filthy. My new car is jet black (not even a metallic black) and although it is beautiful when it's clean it's a pain in the butt. You should see the dust collect on it. We also bought it off the lot and it's fully loaded which I love, but I'd rather have your color.

I've never bought a car based on color...I prefer not to have white or black but always seem to end up with black. I like the color you posted.

She did! It's an old picture that I stumbled across in my photobucket account. I liked it so I figured it should go in my sig! We don't have any snow, either. Heck, if you combine all of our snow totals for the year, it probably still wouldn't match what you see in that picture. Not that I'm complaining.

HAHA.. After driving it around today I actually agree. At this point it could be painted neon green and I would still be IN LOVE. I have never had a new car before let alone one with all these crazy upgrades.

Same here....we try to get the best deal and don't care about the color.

ah! We just bought a new car last month and it is that same exact color. I wasnt crazy about the color but, we got such a great deal on it we took it. Honestly it grows on you. One positive is I always can find my vehicle in the parking lots.
