TDI Therapy Dogs wanted ....

I'm in the Bay City area and visting often in the Saginaw area (Michigan), and I am looking for potential teams to visit at St. Mary's Hospital in Saginaw.... also in Bay City, TDI dogs are needed at Brian's House and other nursing homes.

I started with my TDI dog Nanook to get the St. Mary's Cancer Treatment Center program started over 5 years ago, and I have recently gone back to keep give the program some resuscitative measures....

I'm looking for any local Therapy Dog teams who would like to get established in local places that have accepted the TDI program.....Alas, I am but only one team (Jobe and I)... Its my goal to have these places visited more.... many times people get their TDI and dont do much with it, and I would like to help people with this...

If anyone is interested, please give send me a message....It would light up so many lives to have a visit from one of your gorgeous dogs...

I'd love to do this when Dune is older. Right now at 2 years old, he's still a wild man but he loves people and I know he'd be good at it - I just can't have him butt tucking through the halls and knocking over IV stands. He turns into such a wiggle body too when he's being pet. His tail becomes wicked. I'm hoping in 5 years or so to really get into this.

I'd love to help you work with him, whenever you feel he's ready...I know people would love to see that gorgeous face and wiggle but!!!

This was something I thought about doing when I had Joker as he was an enormous snuggle bug. Unfortunately it was one of those passing thoughts as life gets distracting for me at times!

My Nova is over 1 yr old. Maybe once hunting season ends I can see if that is something she would like. As is, we take her everywhere including crowded public places and she loves it when little ones want to give her attention. She does seem very aware of those that are "different" and spends more time greeting them. She's no Joker..but she might get into the social aspect. Z is just a pup at 8 weeks old.

I am very familiar with Brian's house, it truly is an amazing place. I work in healthcare, so medical facilities do not scare me. Basically, let me get through waterfowl season and I'll have you take a look at Nova to see if you think she has the attitude and appitude for that challenge. I live directly in the middle between Saginaw and Davison. You probably drive right past me on your way to Brian's House.
