The kids and I are going down tomorrow for his memorial service, it will be on Saturday...

So sorry for your loss, may you find some comfort from your friends here. My younger brother was taken at a young age (49), it's been 15 years but it feels like yesterday.

We had his memorial service yesterday, there were tears and laughter and a whole lot of love. So many of his friends were there and it helped to see what an impact he had on other people's lives. We had a get together at my mom's house after the memorial at the Woodlawn cemetery, where everyone ate, drank and remembered all of the good times with my brother. It really felt like he was there. I am still a little sad, but peaceful as well now.
