    "a grand morning"

    Aye Mates,
Had a grand morning today gunning for pheasants with me Mates Bill and Billy (father and son). T'was a particularly beautiful autumn day and me companion gundog TRAD flushed and retrieved five pheasants for us with precision and total Labrador joy. The entire hunt for meself was all about seeing me lads (two legged and four legged) having a superb day afield.

"THREE AMIGOS" - Bill, Billy, and TRAD :-)

    Cheers,

Looks like it was a beautiful day to be out and a productive one. Nothing like sharing with good friends and a great dog.

Great composition...your one friend's camo really blends in with those rocks.

    Aye SunDance,
Me work as a visual artist makes me concentrate on composition. I told me lads to arrange the birds on the wall and I would take their photo with TRAD. Their "arrangement was nothing short of a disaster. I totally rearranged the birds and told Billy where to sit and the shot ye see is the result. I used an HDR in-camera processing program to achieve a print that looks like a painting and I am very pleased with the results. :-)

That's a lovely photo! I didn't notice the pheasants until you pointed them out. TRAD looks awfully proud of his contribution to a good day out. Does the big bell on his collar help you be able to keep track of him or does it help flush the birds or does it have some other function?

    Aye Mate,
The bell helps me to know where TRAD is whilst he hunts in heavy cover. It is also for his safety.
