Netflix Now Lets You Download for Offline Viewing

I just updated my iPad app in Canada and a new category of content available for download appears. There are download links beside episodes for shows so you can download individual episodes. Not all content appears to be available but there was good mix of movies and shows. I wanted to catch up on a few of the Marvel Originals but they of course can't be downloaded. Disney.

I am going to test it out later tonight to see how big the files are.
    Thanks Everyone!!

Yeah it is good for a lot of Netflix original content. So their shows. Comedy and so on. There are a couple options when you download, you can choose the quality so high quality large files, low quality smaller files. I am on the fence about this feature. I know I will love it. Great for me to take when I go camping as I can project my phone screen to my TV screen. I do this with video pod cast now. Also great for moms and dads to download content for kids to watch on trips. However on the other side, how many people will we see in car wrecks, getting hit by cars, or falling into fountains while walking along watching netflix now on the go. It never fails to amaze me when driving on six lane roads in Detroit how many people are reading full newspapers, books, etc while driving.

They crack down pretty good on it my way. A few friends have been fined for texting and driving as well they should.

On another note Amazon has said that Amazon Prime Video will be Canada this week which would be tomorrow. I have no use for Prime because I am close to a warehouse and get my stuff quick but I would probably subscribe to catch up on their content for a bit.
    Thanks Everyone!!

I only wish that they let your Prime membership work on both amazon.com and amazon.ca! i REALLY hate that they want me to pay another $80 when I already pay for Prime (on amazon.com) grrrrr....and when at home, I can't take advantage of the Prime video service that i pay for, only when in the US. I realize that aspect is to do with where they've paid for content, but still, the rest of it??? come on, since i can't fully use my Prime service, give me credit up here for Prime too!

I don't under stand why they don't link the two. I have several friends in Canada, I went to send Christmas presents, I think ok, this year I just order from Amazon, they do gift wrapping too, ship right to their house. I go to Amazon.com pick out all the presents, set up address to ship to, get everything set up in my cart, go to check out, last step, sorry can't ship any of this to Canada. I am like what the heck, just ship from your Canada location. So I go to Amazon.ca well apparently I have no account there So I have to go through the whole process setting up an account and setting up a shipping address and finally I said screw it. Went back to Amazon.com, shipped it to me, took the box unopened to UPS and shipped it to Canada.
