OK. It's sounds like I'm going to have to make the effort. Holy cow but I'm tired of these things. We had one a couple of years ago in an area we were just starting to clear that was so big that I asked the stump guy to use his Bobcat to pull out the root. It. Was. Enormous. Then I went to burn it in the burn pile and it wouldn't burn! It just kind of charred. We eventually had the people who cleared the leach field just haul it off. I've used straight vinegar in the past on the root area. I'll try your recipe Faye. It sounds like that would be more effective.

I just sprayed a gallon of this concoction around the trees and on the weeds. I will report how well it works.

It's been raining on and off here so I thought I'd wait. Love to hear if it's effective.

    ***UPDATE***
This concoction does work. It take a couple of applications and the salt needs to be dissolved in a bit of hot water but it does work.
