It was like 80 degrees here yesterday. Craziness. Today it's 56 and sunny. We had one day of snow and I didn't even get to play in it because I had to work
We are drowning in California.
I am floating here, my yard is a lake!
Unfortunately, we don't have enough water storage facility for all this water, so while some stays in the reservoirs and lakes, they've had to let a lot go out, (I am sure you saw the flooding at Lake Oroville) for future flood control when the Sierra snowpack starts to melt. So, in the meantime, all of that precious water (California is in a drought, and has been for Years), is just draining into the ocean.
My area is currently in a Flash Flood Advisory. Thankfully I am higher up and not in danger of flooding (yet-Knock-Wood) the area roads and freeways, and low areas are under water, and roads are being washed out, and landslides where the burns were last summer.... Scary!

71 degrees in SW Ohio today! We have had 2 little snows of about 1" each. The Almanac said we were going to get blasted with record cold and heavy snows. I guess they were looking through the wrong end of the telescope
Last fall I saw a fuzzy woolly bear(Its a Caterpillar). They are reddish brown in the middle and black on both ends. Legend has is that the smaller the reddish band in the middle the worse the winter will be. The one I saw last fall was 98% black so I thought we were going to get hammered. Looks like a conspiracy with Punxsutawney Phil!

Not today we're not. It's 13.3C (~55F) here. The snowmobile trails are closed but the ones we walk still are mostly covered, if with puddles of water on top of snow and ice. There's a man up on scaffolding repairing a window in the church next door and he has his shirt off. It's very sad to have winter end so early. Skiing, downhill and cross country is ok on wet snow but it's far too hot to cross country ski.

I had an 09 FZ1, great bike, and I was there at the Yamaha dealer meeting in Vegas when it was first released! That looks like an 01 if I'm not mistaken!
It was 75 here today. Crazy warm for late Feb. I just hope we don't get one of the late season March blizzards...........
Thursday high 21C (70F)(breaks old all time February record of 15C), Friday high 16C (61F). Thunderstorms very likely Friday night with a risk of hail and high winds, tornado not impossible. Saturdays' high 4C (40F). Next 48 hours may be quite a ride.
