And Then This Happened - Joe in the Snow

Joey did come back to me, rubbed and purred, agreed he'd been a cute and funny boy and tried to tell me he did that on purpose. And he forgave me for laughing at him.

ETA: That fence is four feet high.

I was going to say it was letting his paws warm up but I think more he was just being a goofy cat. Had me laughing out loud.

If that fence is 4 feet tall, you have a lot of snow.

Joey was not so funny this morning. He gave the OH a lot of worry when he got himself up on the garage roof (Why? Who knows) started to slip and slide in the snow till he reached the edge and it was either jump or fall so he jumped. Landed on all fours and seemed all right but if he starts limping, again, later today we won't be surprised. In January he had a mystery limp, could not stand at all on his left front leg. Vetted, no reason apparent, kept him in for nearly a month, on pain meds the first week and he got better.

oh dear, the dreaded "don't laugh at the cat no matter how funny"....glad he forgave you and said it was all on purpose to show off his feline prowess and athleticism.
jeez, you guys did wind up with way more snow than we did - ours is almost entirely gone today - just a thin layer in the middle of the lawns and hayfields, the plowed fields are pretty much bare.
Roof? um, well, he IS a cat... hopefully no ill effects afterward.

Yes, we have had a lot of snow. Some of what you see is due to drifting and snowblowing pee paths. It would be higher but we also had some heavy duty warm weather that took it down a lot. Even so, it's tricky getting out of driveways and around some rural road corners as banks are high. IN this photo the white box on the right is the Stevenson screen which is four feet off the ground.
