So sorry you went thru the operation with no good results. When you say 4 do you mean 4K or just 4? Either is VERY low.

So since he last update.......

I did 2 IVIg (gamma) treatments and within 2 weeks my platelet count was up to 643, which is pretty high.

Four days after that it was 313. Two days later (this past Wednesday) it was 8.

On Thursday, I got a nosebleed starting at 0645. 3 1/2 hours later it still hadn't stopped. I called my doc and they said to get right to the hospital.

My platelet count was 1. My blood pressure dropped and I started getting confused. My nose was still bleeding. I got an IVIg treatment and was admitted. I got a head CT to check for a brain bleed. That was negative. I also got another IVIg treatment yesterday.

I spent two nights in the hospital and was discharged today. My platelet count was up to 24.

Oh sweety. I am so sorry. Yeah, we want no less than 50 and even that ain't enough. Shoot and damn! You keep on fighting this with your MD. Keep the furry-therapists nearby. We will keep praying for you.

Yeah my nose bled for 15 hours. It was crazy! And nobody could do anything for it because everything depended on my blood clotting. They ended up giving me a nasal spray with thrombin in it so that my nose blood would clot and stop.
