You can't play defense against a cold....

I don't think it matters what you do. Once a cold is going around you can't do anything about it.

Every day I eat a banana, yogurt and an apple. I had an app that monitored my water intake and I drink lots. I drink at least one tea with honey every day. Sometimes two and sometimes I throw a green tea in there. I mix my water with low sweeten cranberry juice so there is a little VC in there.

I wash my hands regularly and sometimes use hand sanitizer but am not as crazy using it as I once was. I wear gloves all winter long and never touch door handles.

Still get the head cold. It doesn't matter how careful or health you try to be. You get around a coworker, friend or family member. You might as well sign up for it.
    Thanks Everyone!!

So many of what's going around right now is airborne and there's little defense against that. Wish people would stay home when they are sick.

The biggest culprits around here are the grandkids.

Maybe you're too clean! I heard apple cider vinegar is supposed to boost your immune system. I've also heard that it's actually healthier to get one cold a year then never to get sick.

I agree. You can't avoid it entirely. We add in ginger and rooibos tea as well as Emergen-C to what you've listed. Those are our go-to's whenever we feel something coming on and start feeling draggy. Hope you heal quickly.

I haven't had cold yet this winter, but my allergies have been off the hook. I've had the crud since before Christmas, clogged head, crap dripping down my throat, coughing and sneezing, watery eyes etc. Hasn't been cold enough to kill everything, and now the spring bloom. A cold's misery will end, this crap just won't give up!!

I buy the Emergen-C off of Amazon. You can get good deals on boxes of them if you do some searching. I mix them into a water and Cranberry mix as well.

I agree there is nothing worse than a person that is really sick at work. Just stay home.

I have been retired 6 years, and in that time, I have had 1 cold and 1 bout of flu. Just goes to show what staying away from all the sickies can do. Another thing, I ALWAYS use the germicidal wipes on the cart handles at the grocery stores. Too many moms to sick kids and snotty babies using those things. Stay healthy !!

Sounds like me when my kid started day care. I was sick all of December with everything under the sun. But the next winter my immune system was good to go lol. That's why I say stay dirty and build that immunity LOL
