    This Isn't Gross, Is It?

There were some light pink wet marks on the kitchen floor. Oban had been lying there so I grabbed a tissue and daubed it on his penis. No pink. Then I put the tissue, with a little wet mark on it, in the bowl I use for compost on the kitchen counter. OH had a fit. He said it would smell. It doesn't smell, for heaven's sake. I put tissue I blow my nose with in there too, and grocery receipt slips and the paper from the cans of cat food. We have a BIG compost pile, it all gets turned into compost along with carrot peelings, leftover whey from kefir making and all sorts of other food scraps. Do you think it's gross to put a tissue with a tiny bit of wet from Oban's penis in there?

Not really but it's kinda gross that he has a leaky penis leaving trails all over your floors.

No. But are you sure the pink was from his penis? Perhaps a bit of drool indicating a gum issue?

I'd ignore the husband but continue the search for the source of the pink.

It could just as easily be from Joey.

He doesn't and he isn't. I will check his gums though. We don't know what the pink was from. I was trying to think of drinks or food bits I might have spilled but came up blank.

JOey wasn't in at the time so not likely to be him either.

Good...with cats, things are likely to be more serious. Oban's could be from a minor scratch on either end. (Dan had a one-time pink blot on tissue...we blot/wipe...and figured it was from a scratch...perhaps a crystal but there was never evidence of that.)

If I were around, poor Oban. I'd be tissue wiping all over his body.

    A single tissue, no problem.

No. That's fine. I compost a lot of stuff. That wouldn't even register on our list of potential issues.

Still no idea what the pink drops were from but there haven't been any more so that's good. Maybe Oban had a little scratch in his mouth from a stick but if so, it's healed.
