The Wiki page says it's debatable but:

Canadian Sam Panopoulos claims that he created the first Hawaiian pizza at the Satellite Restaurant in Chatham, Ontario, Canada in 1962;[4][5] however, other sources claim that the pizza never existed in Chatham.[6]

Andrew and I have eaten at the Satellite quite a few times. Never had pizza there, I'm not even sure if it's on the menu. Time to do some research. Friday is pizza night in our household.

My only rule for pizza is: NO anchovies! BBQ chicken, veggy, meat, Hawaiian it all good!

I love pineapple and I love pizza, but just not together. I am the same with mint and chocolate.

I think my go to pizza is white sauce instead of red, sausage (or a meatball crumble), red onions, mushrooms, crushed garlic.

Pineapple is yummy just NOT on pizza. YUCK! We had this discussion in our house. My MIL had order a few pies and when they got to the house my husband and I were like why would someone ruin such a good pizza.

I worked for a time at Mr. Gatti's Pizza, which has some good ingredients. We rolled out the crusts were rolled out on a surface dusted with cornmeal which added a nice texture to te bottom of the crust. They used smoked provolone as the base cheese and I experimented with no sauce on the crust - just the cheese and toppings, and doing that really brought out the cheeses' flavour.

    Pineapple and ham are good.

We sometimes make pizza at home, rolling out the crust from our own dough. We've done a base of tomato sauce, alfredo, roasted garlic. Our home made pizzas are usually vegetarian with some combination of mushrooms, green onions, leeks, tomatoes, fresh or pickled jalapenos, bell pepper, feta cheese, black olives, other things that don't come right to mind. I've grilled pizza - it can come out quite nicely.
