This came in an email, the Annual Straw Arts Festival in Japan. This was the first photo in the series. What is that man doing? Trying not to trip? Expressing his displeasure? Teaching his puppy how to pee? LOL.
The whole series is here: Giant Straw Dinosaurs Invade Japanese Fields After Rice Harvest | Bored Panda
And here is the first photo:
You know they really do some interesting things there with their rice. I am not sure if you have ever seen the rice field Art they create as well. Every year when they plant the fields they actually plant the plants by various shades and colors to create artwork in the fields.

Wow. If anyone ever commented on my weeds, I'd suggest that they look at them from high up....their planting is deliberate. Seriously, though...that is really cool!
Wow! That's some prey awesome stuff. I think the guy in the pic is like "go mark that dude's sculpture like this so we win"

Maybe he is trying to teach his dog what to do.
Awesome creations.
Tatami mats are made of straw and having lived in Japan for a couple of years they were quite comfortable. Went to a kite festival and the creations were just as amazing.
