    Favorite shoes.

I love Merrells. Arch support, traction, materials, varieties. Just bought a new pair now that it's really muddy out back and was wondering what other people were big on.

Rockport walking shoes. I need good support and they offer styles that work well in a business casual work environment. Otherwise good brand sneakers to knock around in and sport specific shoes but these brands vary depending on style and cut.

i also swear by my Columbia and EMS hiking boots. Although not an avid hiker due to feet and ankle problems, these are my go to shoes when doing a lot of walking or being on my feet a lot due to their ankle support.

Keen is also really good, and they have really expanded beyond their sport/water shoes. They have some good casual dress shoes that I wear I work. I walk on concrete floors at work alot so need something with good support and the keens do it.

I wear Dansko clogs in shoe weather, Reefs flip flops in the summer. I have several pairs of Toms if I don't want to wear my clogs. I'd say you're more active doing yard work than I so I'm not sure my fake Crocs, that I can just hose off, would work for you. Exercise or walking shoes, whatever feel good when I get a new pair.

I like my Salomon hiking boots but they are old and held together with shoe goo. Same with my Salomon ski boots which OH has plastered up with fibreglass as well. Unfortunately for me Salomon has changed the last they put in ladies footwear and none of their new ones fit my very, very narrow feet well. There are narrow hiking boots but, it's weird, stores here don't carry them and when one tried to get a pair in for me they couldn't. Or that's what they told me.

I've got really wide feet with very high arches. Merrell and New Balance tend to work best for me.

Depends on what I'm doing. Salomon for trail running, Ahnu for hiking, Sorel for winter casual, Columbia for winter play (like snowshoeing), Mucks for around the farm, and Chaco sandals all summer (I have 7 different pairs in colors to match pretty much everything in my wardrobe hehe).

I've heard that the Oboz brand of hiking shoes and boots run narrow, even in their regular widths. Might want to try those on if you see them anywhere.

Dansko also makes other types of shoes. There are many varieties of sandals, for instance.
