Everything happens for a reason. If you didn't get then it wasn't for you. It sucks but it might be for the best.

Yes I agree that everything happens for a reason, but then what was the reason that I got asked to interview, drove all the way there, blah blah blah?? LOL I have to be thankful for everything good.
It has to be terribly frustrating to have this happen and we know you've been looking for a while. One way or the other, yes or no, is that too much to ask?

If this is how they treat people, is it really the type of environment you want to work in!

I know that is such a great point. I keep hoping she'll email or call & have a super valid reason for having not answered. It's so unfortunate because honestly I really would LOVE to get back into mortgages and this is probably the only way it will happen due to my long absence from the industry. No one will hire me being out of it for 10 years because so much has changed. This company didn't care though because they were willing to sit with me while I got my feet back in and even help me train for the next level up--a dream job. I'm pissed. Even though I know stuff happens for a reason, why get my hopes up?
Note to self: in future always give someone a yes or no. Period.
I suffered through 6 weeks of insomnia waiting to hear back about the job I'm in now. Some companies tend to move slower than others, but this was ridiculous. What a relief when it finally came to fruition.
I wish you good news...and soon.

I hope you get the job! It took HR a week to do a background check on me (I have nothing to hide lol I think it's the software or something) before I got my current job. HR can be incredibly slow, unfortunately but there's probably a lot of paperwork involved too. I don't blame you for being impatient, I was the same way. I hope they contact you soon and that you have it.

OK so finally she emailed me back ( I made a pest of myself and honestly I didn't want to do that but in this type of industry-this job really is the only one willing to help me get back in after such a long hiatus so I HAD to) saying that they are still working out the duties of this position and that she appreciates the follow up. I said to her that while I realized I have not been contacted, it was such a great opportunity to get back in that I just couldn't risk not inquiring again. Soooo..... I feel like at this point that if I was out of the running she would just have said yup its filled...see ya! So this gives me hope. Weird right?
Nope, not weird. Sounds like there is light at the end of the tunnel. Just keep watch and see what happens.
Did you ask her IF you could get back in touch to see about if you are a consideration for the position?????????
