Our farm dreams are coming true

We're getting a horse! I'm so excited right now I can barely type but it's official. We've also added chickens in the past year. It's funny how adopting our lab and actually moving out to some real acreage in the country motivated us.

fun! We have property for a horse, and even though I don't ride, I would like a couple....or some donkeys. But we'd have to build a barn first and then fence the property.

Congratulatons! I'd love to have enough acreage for a small farm.

Congrats! We moved to 10 acres about a year ago with the two of us and the dog. We now have 7 chickens, and my husband is bringing in 4 cattle next week. Hoping to get our second dog by the end of the year too. So much space just asks for more animals to fill it!

    Congratulations!

Love my house but the lot is way too small. Wish I could pick it up and move it to a larger place.

Congratulations! I'm so excited for you! I've always been horse crazy & have been fortunate to have owned 3 in my earlier years. DH used to manage a large orchard, which we got to live on, so while we there, we had a horse, sheep, bunnies, & our cat & dog. That was when my daughter was young, & all the animals were great projects for us. Sometimes I miss those days.....and I'm still horse crazy, but we have no room for one now, & I wouldn't ride now, anyway, because if I fell off now, I know all kinds of things would break, so I'll just have to stick to my cat & dogs, & admire horses from afar. It was kind of a sad day when I finally sold my saddle! Have lots of fun, & be careful--I got hurt plenty of times....would love to see pictures of your horse when you get it!

Goats. Fertilizer factories if you want to grow stuff. We have two dwarf goats and they just produce crazy amounts of fertilizer. Doesn't even need to be composted. So nice.

    Have a great time!
