    Blast from the past

I've been riding motorcycles since I was 12 years old. I've logged well over 100K miles on the street, and over 16K miles on various racetracks up and down the east coast. I started doing track days, basically open riding on a racetrack in 2004. I became an instructor, teaching others high performance riding techniques on the track in 2006. I did this until 2010, I had to quit due to injuries I incurred when I was hit by a car while riding my bicycle in July 2008. I was looking back through some pics this even and came across some that were taken at a school I attended at Barber Motorsports Park near Birmingham, Alabama in March 2008. Here is one of my favorites.

I've always been an adrenaline junky, and doing this really fed that addiction!

Little to much for me. Had a motorcycle when living in Japan where the attitude toward motorcycles on the road is much better than in the US. It is such a main mode of transportation there. Fond memories of riding in the mountains seeing the rice fields and beautiful homes with red tile roofs.

I always told people the streets were much more dangerous than race tracks.

    NICE bike and perfect form.

I raced cars and that adrenaline is for real- I loved it!!!

    Nice photo.
Never got my motorcycle license, but have been a passenger quite a few times. One of my brothers had a Honda 90 and he would go zipping around the wood lot on our farm and across the road for me as a teenager it was pretty exciting. The same brother took me up flying for my 18th birthday. He had his student pilots license with enough hours to take someone up.

Very cool photo Barry. That is a true adrenaline junky! I'd need a diaper change after that ride.

I ride a Harley Ultra Classic. We go for comfort!
I get some adrenaline pumping from time to time but that's only when someone doesn't see you and pulls out in front of you.

I'm content with pushing a sporty stick-shift car through a twisty turny road.

What you're doing in that photo looks like a serious adrenaline rush, and and perhaps fun for the rider!
