    Trying to learn color pencils

    Wow, I'm use to using oil paints and this is a whole other medium to work with. And it takes forever!
    I've been working on this pic of Brian for several weeks now, and there are tons of mistakes in it lolol. But if I don't make mistakes I guess I won't learn
    There is still a lot of work to do on it yet, but thought I would show you what I've been up to

    Very nice work!
    If you are not familiar with the Wet Canvas website you should check it out. They have a forum for colored pencils and you might find some good tips there! It is how I taught myself pastels.
