I may never complain about Maryland's heat again. (may...)

    Stay safe, y'all!

Wow, Bamps! Now if we don't hear from you for a while, I'm going to worry that you've dried up and been blown away in a hot desert wind!

“Because of the dog's joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift. It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”

Yesterday yes, today, they will but i believe it has to be 118+ they have the stop scheduled. We are in an "excessive heat advisory" until sunday 9pm but one news is saying it will be extended to Weds. SUMMER's HERE

And I thought Savannah was hot! That's horrible. I've never heard of an airport being closed because of excessive heat - that's unreal.

I remember when I was stationed in New Mexico, there were several times flights stopped going into/out of Phoenix when temps were over 120 as there was no take off data in the manuals for this situation.

When I was stationed at Hill AFB in Utah, we had a 13,500' foot long runway, and there were times in the summer the AFRES F105's would use between 11,000 and 12,000 feet of runway before they were actually airborne. We'd clear them for takeoff with one hand on the crash phone just in case.
