Yesterday was Canada Day, the day the Constitution Act was enacted. It was a pretty important Canada Day - the sesquicentennal, or 150th anniversary.
There's no particular way to mark the day. We did a lot of yard work because we are a stop on next weekend's Garden Tour. When work was done we rewarded ourselves by enjoying stubbies - how Canadians used to enjoy their beer. As a bonus I've linked to a Youtube of our most marvellous anthem 'O Canada'.
I hope all of our fellow Canadians enjoyed Canada Day!

Hope y'all had a great Canada day when you finished your yard work.
BTW, any "sneak peek" into the work that was done for next weeks garden tour?

Love the Stubbies. Coors is selling them full time again. I have a little collection of them.
I added on these to my bar display "

Apologies for the slow response, I've been a little busy in the yard.
katALlabs, we did enjoy the fruits of our labour. Also, ask and you shall receive . . .
Macy, thanks, it was a good day.
Mike, you're much too kind, thank you!
Fran, keep scrolling down.
Woody, those are cool. Speaking of special 150 stuff one of my brothers in the States found out about the glow-in-the-dark toonie and absolutely MUST have one to use as a ball marker and blind his golf playing partners.

As requested, a garden tour. Apologies for the shortness of it, the lighting was tough and I was trying to hurry (mistake).
The sunny front bed, populated by cilantro, lamb's ears, firewheel, and other stuff.
The shadier front bed with columbine (hard to see, going to seed), hostas, coral bells. Lots of ferns.
The island in the front; left to right: Haskap bush, Canada 150 tulips long done but not quite ready to cut back, strawberries and asparagus.
A long view of the vegetable garden. There at bottom left are Chocolate Cherry and Long Keeper tomatoes.
Columbine (we don't necessarily segregate flowers from veggies), celery, two types of basil (the purple is being munched!), parsley, yes that's a prickly pear lower centre. And a huge rhubarb behind.
Cucumbers are doing OK.
Sweet potatoes are happy.
Already have a cayenne pepper forming.
Lots of garlic this year. We grow enough to store for use and to plant next year.
Our back ornamental bed. More strawberries, irises, Siberian irises, peonies, a bit of sweet woodruff.
The redcurrant we planted last year is bearing.
Our raspberry bramble.
Yum.
Some lavender.
A lovely yarrow.
We bought a pot of kale, to see what happens. Faye planted a bunch of lettuce in this deck railing box, and put some thyme and sage in another.
We don't have A Pretty Yard or A Showplace. We do have a yard with a lot of diversity, produced with virtually no chemical inputs beyond feeding the turfgrass.
Hope you enjoyed the tour.

Edited to add.
A very happy and safe Fourth to all the folks south of the border!
