    How Humid is It?

94% humidity this morning and we can SEE it in the air. Supposed to reach a high of 29C and feel like 35C today. Every single, blessed day I have to clean out the holes in the salt shaker, they're completely blocked up.

    clean the salt shakers! wow

the weather is gross. I am hoping this is the worst of it for the summer (as far as consecutive days go). things had stabilized some with Rocky and now that's gone to heck! I don't know why I moved to a humid city :P I am also hoping for a short summer haha (and not a hot/humid september).

Looking forward to the weekend when temps should be more average again.

Do you put a few grains of rice in your salt shakers? We have merciless humidity but my shaker holes have never clogged.

We actually had 100% humidity a few mornings last week. By the end of my walk (actually, long before the end), I resembled and felt like a well used dishrag.

I 'm going to put some rice in right now. I've seen that and never thought of it.

We had that awful humid weather for 2, almost 3 weeks, but this week the weather is beautiful and I'm enjoying it. My salt shakers close, but my sugar bowl doesn't and I was always have to chop the sugar up to use it. Then a made a sugar "bowl" out of a pint canning jar and it's been fine since. Stay cool.

It's been an unpleasant few days; looks like relief will arrive Friday afternoon. Went to Detroit Saturday evening and watched teh Tigers play. Note to self, do not sit down the third base line, the sun side of the field. I had to work in an un-air conditioned warehouse today, limited myself to two 45 minute stints. Wearing FR coveralls made it thoroughly unpleasant.

We use a salt grinder. Don't know how the sugar tub is, very rarely dip in it outside of baking.
