    A better mouse trap?

We purchased a new BBQ a month or so back. It's stainless steel and our last one was black. I am noticing mouse (possible chipmunk) droppings inside and on the side burner. Yesterday I used a bbq cleaner and hose and cleaned it from top to bottom. And again when I get home from work more droppings.

I put some Cajun Spice (I have no cayenne) and dryer sheets all around it.

Should I just buy some traps? What kind?
    Thanks Everyone!!

Mice are easy. Snap traps, either wood or the plastic ones work fine. Bait with peanut butter. For rats, the snap traps are bloody and the rats are sometimes too smart for them.

Thanks I found a snap trap that had good reviews. I think I will buy a couple.

Everything was under control and a neighbour decided to put out whole peanuts to feed the birds. Our backyard is the freeway. Every animal possible comes from a field and through our yard to get there. This has brought the chipmunks and mice back. Great.

You can also put them on the edge of your property. They don't have to be on the site at issue, just wherever it will be safe for other animals. In nooks and crannies. Up high on ledges. Peppermint route works well too but essential oils are flammable so don't spray that on your grill.

Same problem here, I find buried peanuts everywhere so someone around is putting them out. Luckily Archie keeps them at bay. I do have tiny mice in the garden shed and the "outhouse" (a shed for long handled tools) but only glimpses and no nests or evidence of permanent residences.

The spice and dryer sheets didn't do anything. But two snap traps caught me two mice last night. One in the bottom by the tank and one of the shelf where we were leaving the cleaning brush which is inside now. Reset and nothing so far today. Wait to see what the night brings.
    Thanks Everyone!!
