I think that taking care of all of this takes a lot of stress off your family while they are grieving. I agree everyone should at least think about it. As for the Legos have fun

Jeff: Up until Archie, we had specific breeders who would take in any of our labs. NO WAY will I let Archie go back to his so-called breeder. We are struggling deciding on who would take care of him. DD already has a shepherd not to say anything of 4 small children at home. Her shepherd is not dog friendly. We are still searching. Yes, there is money set aside for him along with several rescues.

As for the Legos, new month, new releases. Heading there tomorrow to take a look, LOL

It's not morbid. Your family is lucky that you took care of the arrangements. I'm still kicking myself for agreeing to be the health proxy for a relative in the event she is incapacitated. I did so on the condition that she tell me what her wishes are and she she listed me but now won't talk about it. But I'm listed as her proxy. Yay! Not.

I don't think it's morbid either. The thing I have noticed is important to many people is what music will be played and often who will play it, or sing or whatever. Good for you for relieving your family of that sad duty.

I wish I were in a position to be able to take care of those things. Poor planning in my 20s and now I can't catch up. Good for you. It's going to make things a bit easier for the family one day.

Also, Lego got heavy into sets where the subject (like Star Wars) is a licensed product and Lego pays big time for the license. The word is out that they are now only considering Idea builds that do not require licensing.

Like anything else expensive these days, there are different ways to pay. Of course, one lump sum. Then there are installments but if you pass before it is fully paid then your estate has to pay. Also offered to us was a life insurance policy for the amount of the funeral. If you passed before it was paid up, the insurance plan paid in full. Did not look into that so I don't know what the premiums are like.
