So know what you mean. Went to a U-pick place one year and brought home bushels. While canning I ate so many that I got sores in my mouth from the acid. But, boy did I love it.
I no longer have a craving for peaches! After all that with the tree, it kicked out a couple hundred ripe peaches. We were craving them. Nothing better than sweet fresh peaches straight from the tree (well, a couple of days after picking them). Many were small but all were really good. Gave a bunch away. Fed some to the animals.
Then we tried to eat about 50 in a week between the two of us. We're cured. If we never see a peach again, we'll be just fine.

I canned a bunch of peaches this year as the grocery store I go to gets them from a local orchard. Like Poptop, I HAD to eat some while canning them. Can't wait for winter when I will make hot peach pie with French Vanilla ice cream- of course I'll leave the calories out!!!
