September photo shoot - 4:21AM, tomato run day 11

Tomato harvest and whole pack season is in full swing, which means Faye works daily 5:30PM to 4:00AM. There are roughly 35 more days to go; Labour Day is not a holiday for her. We see very little of one another during this time so we catch time together as we can.

You guys are true troopers- staggering past each other during tomato packing season! I love the lighting for this photo. Im betting it doesn't take a beverage to put Faye to sleep after her shift!

Faye is the real trooper here - my job is merely to keep the house in order and the dogs quiet, which is one reason Achilles got to go to work.

Faye showers then reads for an hour or so before hitting the sheets. I heard that the beer, a Cowbell Brewing Company Absent Landlord, did go down well.

Great picture, the lighting is perfect.

Don't know how Faye does it. A couple of days and I'd be dead to the world worn out.

I am astounded each and every day, every year. And through it all, she puts up with me.

This has been a particularly trying season. Probably the worst one of the twenty some I have done and I thought last year was bad. But, I think I've finally got the sleep during the daytime mastered, black out curtains! What a difference they make. Previous years I'd be putting up sheets, towels, quilts whatever I thought would do the trick. Found some inexpensive curtains put them up, tacked all the edges in place so no stray sun beams could get in and voila a room fit for a vampire! I no longer wake up several times during the day. I just hope we don't end up working Canadian Thanksgiving this year.
