Thinking of everyone in Florida, about your family & friends there too. I hope everyone stays safe.

As of right now no evacuation order for my parents. They are hunkered down and just waiting for the storm to hit. Hope all get through this safe.

Thanks all! It appears to be working (for us here in Tampa at least). The worst of it will be up our way at 2 am as a Category 1. Continued prayers for those that have were hit more directly.

Yeah I'm watching it strength decrease too. Oddly enough the backside of this storm looks like there's nothing there.

Talked to my Step Father about 5pm today. Their power went out about 4pm, but they are doing well He was a bit upset that he missed the 4th quarter of the Ravens game! Seems the storm is loosing some power as it works it's way north, so hopefully it won't be as bad as predicted.

Post storm check in! The worst of it rolled in around 1:30 am, wind got scary and I moved over to the sofa because there's a big cypress tree outside my bedroom window that I was worried could snap. Thankfully it did not. Our home and neighborhood sustained no visible damage and we never lost power. We've already swept up the debris and are trying to get back into our normal routines. Continued prayers for those that were not as fortunate.

I am relieved to report my parents made through with just a power outage (and it's still out) so there is no A/C. There was some debris from the storm in their yard, but thankfully no damage to their house.

Prayers to all those still affected by this storm and Harvey in Texas. I'm hoping we get a break for a while on the natural disasters, including all the fires out west.

Parents and brothers made it thru with the typical damage trees and fences houses are ok. My one brother who lives in the Red Lands area of Homestead his barn roof sustained a few more hopes that the original hole that was there before the storm. He's glad the guy who was going to repair the original hole dragged his feet and didn't get it done before the storm now he can get a new roof.
