    Why I have been mia

For those of you who have been on the board a while I mentioned how I was trying to start a human family. We were trying prob 5 years but not actively just if it happened it happened and not trying to prevent it. 2 years ago I started temping, timing and doing OPK still nothing so we contacted an RE last sept. The had me start clomid pick up ovidril (to induce ovulation) progestrone suppositories which wasn't cheap then had a hysteoscopy and a hsg with saline and us done they found something on my tube and said no unprotected sex until we find out what's going on. Scheduled another hsg with dye and xray this time. They claimed I had inflamation. When I cinsulted with the Dr he basically told me ivf was the only way to go and when I asked about iui his exact words were your waisting your time. So almost 5 months waisted and me an emotion wreck thinking there goes my chance of having kids. Found a new Re and went in March Dr is super nice the other clinic never told me I had low AMH(reserves) nor that the clomid thinned my lining. He did want to start with ivf bc of my age but when I told him i just couldn't afford it bc it's all out of pocket and is about 25,000 a cycle he said we would do IUI I asked isn't that pointless and he said absolutely not you can get preg naturally we just will have a harder time finding a quality egg. We have gone thru 5 cycles of iui and still no baby but I'm not giving up. I've changed my diet and am eating foods to improve egg quality. I have taken a recent break from fostering and the rescue to focus bc it's too much when the injections and meds make me feel tired and sick. It's been an emotional journey but if it works it will be so worth it at the end and if it doesn't I told my husband I wanted a lab puppy

Wow, you've certainly been through a lot! I know this has been a dream of yours for a long time. It must be both physically and emotionally draining. Continued good mojo for it to happen.

Much as I'd like to see another Lab puppy become a member here, I hope things turn around for you. Pictures of a human puppy will be perfectly acceptable.

Boy, you have been thru so much with the accompanying frustration and disappointment.

Hope you will be able to get both- a lab puppy and a baby bump!!

it is very exausting. We tried for over 10 years with no luck and stopped when IVF clearly became the only option left. By that point I wasnt even interested anymore, the thought of additional heartbreak if IVF failed was to much for me

    Best of luck to you

Thanks everyone!!! Thank god I have my fur babies. We added 2 new additions to our zoo. I think I may have mentioned Babs my silver martin rabbit I got back in Feb. WE also added Cheddar a Holland lop rabbit oh my goodness shes such a baby. We keep them apart from the dogs be well they want to eat them lol. Mimi is thriving she is such a happy dog now. We had no more head tremors since I decided to keep her. I'm thinking maybe she did it on purpose lol. She is up to 55lbs now which is a good weight for her. She still holds her leg up occasionally mostly when she's running. She can jump on and off the furniture and sometimes the runs around the yard on it. I have her on glycoflex which has helped. She goes in next week to get it checked. If she needs surgery I will do it I just want to make sure it's absolutely necessary first. I had her to 3 different vets and they all said the same thing. It looked fine the bone is healed and she may always favor that leg since we don't know how long it was broken before they found her. When it's really bothering her I'll get rymidyl and crate rest for a few days. I wish I could post pictures but my computer is shot and I don't know how to get them on here from my phone.
