    Bucketlist brainstorming

I recently met a guy who decided on his 40th birthday to come up with a 45 item bucket list, with the goal of completing all of them by his 45th birthday. He's cruising right along, doing things like jumping out of planes and holding a baby panda.

I have a similar birthday milestone coming up and I love the idea of a bucket list with a deadline. If you don't know: a bucket list is things you want to accomplish before you die (aka 'kick the bucket.') It should be concrete, realistic items, like "enter a cooking contest" rather than more squishy sentiments like "keep in touch with friends." They should also be framed positively, so no "lose weight" or "drink less." (I'm thinking about 'eat vegetarian for a month' though!)

So I now have to come up with a whole bunch of bucket list items! So far I have: See HAMILTON in New York. Visit all 48 contiguous states. Successfully do a certain yoga move.

Help me brainstorm by sharing what would put on your list!

Hmm, mine would include at least one trip out of the country. I've been to several countries but for only a couple of days, so...ooh, ooh! How about taking a trip to Italy or somewhere and taking an immersive cooking class there? Yeah, I'd totally want to do that.

    OK, that's my whole list.

I've done a lot of things and been to a lot of places. Raising goats and chickens were on my bucket list as was couponing to feed 100 people. So now I'm pretty much at growing a giant pumpkin.

Do travel the US. We have a lot of beautiful stuff out there. And let's face it. Now is the time to see it.

I would love to sell ( or give to charity)everything material that I have, except Gabe of course and buy a small RV and visit every National Park in all the states.

I doubt if I could really do that, but it is very high on my list, which is very short.

I’d love to see the Northern lights as well. I’d be happy to see then from some place in Northern Ontario. Iceland would be really great to see though. I have seen the watered down versions of the Northern lights you get in SW Ontario and it’s still pretty mind boggling.
Hmm, other bucket list items? I have driven a transport (it was only for a mile, or two on a country road, but it counts!), took a ballet class, plodded a 5km fun, dressed as Santa Claus. Okay, it wasn’t on my bucket list to do 5K as Santa, but figured if I didn’t make it fun I’d never do a 5K. I’d love to travel around Canada and the US, maybe in a minivan kitted out as a mini-RV. Go to Ottawa for the tulip festival. The Agawa Canyon Tour. The more I think about it, the more I think we need to retire and blow all our savings!

Have been fortunate to travel quite a bit in my life but still on the top of my list is a trip to New Zealand, one place I've not been.

Would love to ride in a helicopter.

Very top of my life, while I love my seniors, I want to lay in the grass on a warm sunny day, covered in lab puppies.
