    Wind Knots

It's that time of year again and here I am with a broken fly rod. My dad just got back from N. Carolina with pictures of him with some nice browns, rainbows, and even a good sized brookie or two. I need to find somebody who deals with Sage so I can fix my Z-Axis and get up into Arkansas. I truly envy any of y'all who live near clear streams; even the rain down here is murky.

    A GARBALL,
Sage has a generous warranty on their products(rods, blanks, reels, and components). Why not just send it back to Sage and have them do the repair. On a completely different note, I was speaking with my academic adviser as a young freshman biology major nearly 44 years ago when he asked me what I enjoyed doing when I wasn't studying for school? I told himI really enjoyed fly fishing. He replied, "you may have heard of my father". I replied, "who is your father"? He said, "Lee Wulff". With that he went over to a bookcase in his office and pulled a book off the shelf that had been autographed by Lee himself, to his son (my professor). He said, I'll let you borrow the book but I want it back. And of course I did borrow and read it. It was like holding a piece of fly fishing history knowing that Lee himself a legend of the sport, had penned the book.

Good luck with your rod and chasing trout. I am very fortunate in that I can walk out me back door and into the forest behind my home for about 10 minutes and be on a stream with a population of native brooks.

    Cheers,

I lost my warranty information in a move. Do you think they would still honor the lifetime repair?
