    It's so warm!

Not complaining but they're predicting that winter weather isn't going to show up here until as late as December 1st. Tomorrow it's 75 F and that continues for almost a week. Meanwhile my husband keeps asking me if we're getting frost at night because he grew up here and now his brain is hardwired to engaging in certain activities at certain times of year. I just keep telling him that if the windows are open, we're not concerned about frost.

    Fabulous stuff.

Dang, it's already dipped down into the 40's here at night. Granted, it got up to 85 today, but that's considered pretty chilly down here.

I think winter is making it's way here. Didn't you guys have a kinda dry winter last year? (Maybe it wasn't. We had a record breaking wet one here. I wonder what the patterns will be this year.)

Here, in SW Ontario it has been above seasonal norms. Early next week we will likely be at more normal temperatures. I don’t mind mild/cool weather, it’s the heat and humidity that gets me down.

I think we were about average last year but then we had a record breaking wet spring.

The thing is supposed to be a weak La Nina pushing a high front up in a U shape. We're essentially getting southern weather. It's very weird and spotty up the east coast. My project this fall is to keep the heat from turning on with just a bit of firewood. Money in the bank.

I am in the same boat as your husband. I am hard wired to expect frost by October 15th. It was this way always when growing up and I just got used to it because I had seasonal allergies. I outgrew them but when I was growing up the only relief I got was first frost so I looked so forward to October 15th. I have been rushing to get everything winterized and ready even though I know it is going to be mid 70s here this weekend. I need to mow my lawn again as we finally got rain last week.
