Thank you all guys! I've just arrived home, so I'm sending a quick update.

Yep, I ran my first marathon! I had a lot of issues during the race, and the toughest part was before the 10th kilometer, which was too early in the race and I contemplated about giving up and finishing a half-marathon instead (I'd be disqualified, but at least I wouldn't have to take a cab!). Anyway, on the 15th kilometer I saw a friend run past me (I was walking) and he told me there was no way that I'd give up. We concentrated on passing the ramp on the 20th kilometer before 2 hours and 30 minutes, which we did. I thought that the race would be mentally tough, but the problems that I had were not in my head, they were only physical, my muscles were sore, my stomach hurt and I even had back pain. I don't know how, but I managed to stay positive for the rest of the race, and finished in 4 hours 57 minutes, which, although much slower than the time I hoped for, made me feel so proud of myself for not giving up. It's an amazing feeling.

I wouldn't have been able to do it without all the support though, of all my friends and runners who were there with me on my race day, physically or mentally. This medal is for you!

A few pictures from the starting line with my friends and the finish line
