    Lightroom

I downloaded Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop and have been playing with them. Both of these are extremely powerful tools for post production of digital images. I know there are some really good photographers on this board, and seeing their work has insipired me to really get into this, and I'm thinking about maybe starting my own business.

This is the first photo I've worked on, and would like some feedback.

Which one do you think shows truer colour on the dogs? I will guess the first but there is more detail of other objects in the second. ???

A coincidence I was reading about this just a day ago, on an Olympus training website, and that person showed how true colour (he got true purple skin from the lights on the singer's face at a concert) was not pleasing and he manipulated to take all the purple out.

the colors seem more "true" in the first photo but the background nicer in the second. You'd have to take the dogs from picture 1 and use background of image 2 (which is totally doable with layers but I have NOT been able to do it myself!).

I can't stand photo editing personally ;P But it is amazing what it can do, some of the photo groups have people who post pre and post editing and they take a nice photo and turn it into an amazing photo. Having said this, the photo of rocky below was lightly edited for fun.

I can't stand photo editing either. I've only done one (semi) professional photo shoot with Ram. I wanted clear, crisp natural photos but I ended up with unrealistic colouring that didn't even look like Ram. After going back and forth a few times I ended up paying the guy and not even downloading the photos.

Sundance, I see a bichon with a huge afro.

I still use my old ps6 and lightroom 3 or 5 forget....I set up some presets that I generally just click on all imported photos. some I have frames to wrap around pics, add signature or copyright, etc...only only program I have added was this one back when it was cheap...Photography Software from Topaz Labs
