Hockey skates? Speed skating skates? I had envisioned figure skates, not chasing Apolo Ohno around!

They are speed skates and many are much lower than that. Hockey skates would be higher. My old figure skates are higher but so old the leather in them is soft so not much support in them either. Ironically my cross country ski boots are skate boots and they are high and stiff so I'm hoping there is snow on the ground and lots of it.

Please be really careful, Nancy. We don't want to be reading about you needing surgery for this in mid-Jan.

Oh my gosh, Barb. 4:32 am? That's the time on her post for those not in our time zone.

Yes, I am being careful. I know too many people who were not and if they were not enough, my sister was an RN in a fracture clinic and she can tell me lots of horror stories.

It was actually 5:32 my time....still an ungodly hour. (I get up at 3:45 to take my Synthroid.) At 4:32 I was just heading downstairs to start the dog routine.

Nancy ~ On a hunch, I just did a test to see the time. It was 1:30 my time and showed up as 12:30 lab board time. My setting is for automatic DST so it should be OK. ???

Ok, let me see, it's 2:21 here now. We are Eastern Standard Time, same as you.

Huh. Post time says 1:21. I have my settings to automatic DST too.

ETA: Set mine to DST corrections on and I see it worked retroactively.

I ran a couple tests and put my settings on "DST corrections on" and now it's behaving.
