Seems like all we've being doing lately is play "catch up".

This is a BUSY spring! Our deck collapsed this winter, so we've been working on rebuilding that. We can't open the pool until the deck is done. We haven't been able to get the vegetable garden started yet, because we've been busy with the deck. Forget spring cleaning....no time for that. The decorations for my VBS preschool crafts room are all done, but now I need to get started on preparing the crafts for the kids (about 100 kids a day for 5 days). I was able to find time to pack away my winter clothes and get out my summer clothes. I also helped my grandson with a project for school on horseshoe crabs. Things are getting done, but it doesn't feel like things are getting done, if you know what I mean. New things keep getting added to the to do list.

Our garden isn't planted yet either. I think I'd wait anyway just because of the weather. It dropped into the 40s a couple nights ago. I am hoping our garden gets planted around Memorial day. One year I planted earlier and ended up having to cover plants to protect them from frost. My garden looked like tent city.

Our pool is waiting to be installed but I have to upgrade the electric and have the remaining fence installed. I can't install the fence until I decide what exactly I want on that side. My front fence is still broken, I have had the most awful time getting estimates from fence contractors that meet the insurance co requirements (from when that lady crashed through my fence and into my yard).

My son's senior prom is Friday and somehow my husband volunteered to drive a bunch of them in the suburban. Last night was senior awards night but we missed it because our lamb got bloat and it didn't turn out well so everyone is very sad here. My ewe lambs are ready in a couple weeks and we have to finish their barn and figure out fencing for their pasture. Too much to do and I am not doing anything today.

I know the feeling, however to be fair this winter was a lot longer than usual. I remember when my yearly reminder to put down crab grass preventative went off, there was still 2 ft of snow on the ground.

This winter was hard and I think we're all playing catch up.

Lauranj, I'm so sorry about your lamb. How horrible. You need a day or two.

I'm still plugging along with my daughters wedding dress and her bridal party. I had landscapers plant my garden because I had a bridal shower, but really not a shower, so it's there but not being loved like it should be. My nephew had a stroke and I'm watching my sister's dogs, no big deal but one of them had a hip replaced two weeks ago. So with tending to her (amazing progress) and her needs, having a 5 month old puppy and now 2 therapy dogs I'm starting to feel my life has gone to the dogs.

But tomorrow will come and it will be glorious to be alive. My motto.

We have not planted our garden either. I'm just happy to have gotten grass seed out.

Know how you feel. Warm days were few and far between so yard work is behind. I've been spending a lot of time outside, Archie at my side.

Guess if we keep plugging away, we'll get caught up.

I can appreciate how you feel. Goodness gracious that's a lot of kids at VBS to get ready for.

We're extremely busy here. I have been on 60% hours at work for quite some time and resume full time hours on Monday. While it's been very pleasant to do have the extra time away from the office, getting by on 60% pay has been quite a challenge.

Faye started planting Thursday so she has 10-12 hour days for a few weeks. It's quite a wake-up reminder of how much she does - cooking, laundry, dishes, errands, feeding and walking dogs, the garden and so much more. I'll do the best I can to fill in.

Well, did get some planting done today. This year and focusing on herbs to teach the grans about them.

Since Melody passed I have been hunting a yellow peony that didn't cost a fortune. Found one yesterday - YEAH!

Wow, you guys are busy! I'm being forced to do nothing for a couple of days. I was in a weird position, holding a heavy board for Barney to attach for the new deck, and I twisted wrong. So I pulled a muscle in the middle of my back and now it hurts to move or even breathe. It was awful yesterday, but a bit better today, hopefully tomorrow I'll be back to normal (as long as I rest it).
