I was doing my own search online.
    Louisiana state site states:

I like that the wildlife professionals are cool with you parking it, maybe far from your house!

While not in the undercarriage, was driving along one day, looked in the rear view mirror and there was a black snake sunning itself in the back window. Pulled over as quick as I could and got help. Had the heebie jeebies for a long time after that.

I would have hard attack! As long as it's not IN the car... like the interior part i would continue as normal until it comes out. I heard that snakes often fall asleep and get really hot and end up literally cooking themselves to death so maybe it's dead already...
    No suggestions from me sorry.

I just googled your situation and most people say that snakes usually end up in the engine. Have you opened the hood to take a look there? Other suggestions were the fire extinguisher thing and also hosing it down from underneath. If you do see it you could try using a broom handle or something to shove it out.

A black snake crawled up under my car. How do I get it out?
Oooh! I really like the fire extinquisher idea.

We pulled the spare down last night (!!!) and threw some moth balls in it. We couldn't see anything. There were no 'leavings' this morning so we are hoping he has made his way to other accomodations.

You should have seen us. Someone could have come up from behind and just said Boo and we would have jumped straight out of our skin. Golly!

Be careful with mothballs as they are toxic for the dogs if ingested.

They're actually mothball cakes encased in plastic and my dogs are never near the truck unsupervised. Ever. They couldn't get to them anyway as tire is mounted underneath to the frame of the truck.

I don't know, but I can tell you how I got a rattlesnake out of my living room. I pulled it out with a garden hoe and capped it with varment shot with a .22 pistola. Lol taught that little buzzer not to buzz at me in my own house.

Well I was going to suggest setting your car on fire but that's not really an option.

Snakes eat about once a week and in the meantime, they're just hanging out and digesting more or less in a stupor. So I doubt that it will be very active for that time and getting it to do anything will probably be a waste of time. I would definitely call animal control just to get advice. You never know what someone there may know.

If you get a glimps of it, spray engine starter on it. It will very quickly exit the area.

We have so many around here we pay them no mind. However, when they invade the chicken coop, they're a goner. Figured we had a snake when every once in a while we dind't get any eggs. (only 5 hens). Finally caught the bugger in the nesting boxes. Not a happy endingg for the snake.

    Hope all ends well,
Hope all is well and have a great day
