On the south side of town, farms abound.
Christmas tree vendor ready with the perfect tree for your home.
On the north side of town, up in the foothills, the monastery and our favorite Chatham Inn. You can only stay if you bring a dog.
Old country church, heading into the very rural section.
Rural homes where the smells of baking turkeys and home made cookies are tempting.
Tomorrow I will get to the alpine regions of the collection in part 4. Pack warm clothes.

Fran where do I sign up to live in your town!!??
Wow, looks like it takes up considerable space, but it is lovely, and must be fun to set up & imagine what life must have been like in those simpler times......
Your village is always wonderful but I think you've outdone yourself this year. Can't wait to see part 4.
How much acreage does this take up, approximately? That's got to be in one huge room if it's all together.
Beautiful. This is my favorite time of the year. Cold weather and snow. I sit here today in Cleveland and it's 45 (at 0700) and rain. YUCK! Your village takes me away. :-)
Edited to say --- It's now 32 and snow! 2" so far.

Beautiful as always. I look forward to seeing it and being taken away into your village every year. Thanks so much for sharing.
Fran, just think of all the memories and warm hearts you have stirred up in the people who see the village. You have brought peace and comfort to so many!!
God Bless YOU and your whole family!!
