    Baby, It's Cold Outside

DH: Have you looked at the outside thermometer?

Me: No. How cold is it?

DH: Put it this way, if it were 0 I'd be putting on shorts.

We're having a warm spell. I was walking in my shirt yesterday, it was 15C and sunny.

Cookie said he didn't like it. He went into a pond instead.

With the snow and poor visibility we were afraid my nephew and his wife might find their flight out of Toronto to Atlanta on Christmas Day cancelled. Her parents live there and don't get to see the baby much. Well, they made it but it's been below freezing there so not the warm break they hoped for, though warmer than home by a long shot.

The other day I took Archie for a walk. I think it might have been about 20 degrees outside. But we also had 20 mph gusts. The only thing exposed were my eye balls. Archie's face was like "Are we seriously doing this?!" He hasn't experienced such wind before. Once I found myself shielding my dog I realized it was time to go home.

It is solidly cold. December is usually fairly mild pre-winter weather. but we have a TON of snow and deep freeze temps.

On the plus side, no freezing rain (a disaster for Rocky) and Rocky can walk more in this deep freeze than summer heat :P

It is -8F (and then -26 with the wind). Freaken cold. And stays so for at least a week. we get a break next wed-thursday.
