He's still a cat with no name. My male cat doesn't have an issue with him but my female isn't a fan. I don't want to upset her world because she's 17y/o and I don't think it's fair to her.

I understand that, it was the same here when Joey showed up. Very much the same. Joey made friends with Oban first, then me, then actually had to be pushed away from the door every time we went in or out, he was so determined to come inside. My Itty Bitty Kitty was 18, very frail, on meds, and I did not think I wanted to chance an encounter, one that she would probably start, that would end with her being hurt. Joey made his move and got in anyway and has been in every night since. I slept downstairs to keep them apart and monitor things.

He deserves a name. Ordinarily, I'd vote for something tried-and-true and friendly...like Charlie, Sam, Fred, or George. In this case, though, I'd call him R.C. Ram's Cat.

I just called the City shelter to see if I could have him neutered when the mobile truck is in my area and they said that if he wasn't friendly they would do it and give him back to me but because he's friendly they would want him to get a home of his own rather than live in the carrier in my backyard. She also mentioned that they have a lot of space right now so he probably wouldn't be there very long.

Have them ensure that Ram gets visitation rights.

My Vet gave me a cut rate price on neutering Joey and he got to keep his ears. This was before he got friendly and moved in with us. It was only a couple of dollars more than the shelter people would do it for and since he was still feral at the time they would tip one of his ears. Maybe ask your Vet?

I dont' know how true it is but I had an ex shelter worker tell me that orange cats are the most friendly, vocal and curious This as Tucker my orange fellow followed him all over the house while Merlin and Penny stayed hidden.

If and when I catch my stray Baby and vet him I am going to try and find a home if he isn't able to acclimate to mine, he is so sweet. The pictures of your babies together are so sweet. Will have to agree if he does find another home that Ram gets to visit

I took the cat to the shelter on Saturday because my neighbour was being an arse. She was blaming him for poop on her deck and she didn't want him spraying or attracting more cats to her yard.

This is the picture they had on their lost and found page.

I called yesterday and they said that he will be neutered on Tuesday next week and probably up for adoption the next day.

Hypothetically speaking, a person could take Wednesday afternoon off work and obtain him legally.

awww He let you pick him up? I think Wednesday would be a wonderful day to take off next week

Oh I wish Baby would let me do that with him but something happened to him over the winter he is very cautious about how close I get to him. I still put food and water out for him and make sure his bed is dry. he still comes running when he hears me call for him but something is different.

He doesn't have an issue with being picked up. His personality is nothing like the scared cat that he was when he was in the tree for 3 days. Like the other pets in my house he has no concept of personal space.

If I can adopt him he will become an inside cat. My senior cat had a check-up a couple of weeks ago and her blood, urine and poop tests all came back normal so I'm not as concerned as I was.
