When I drive to the beach I can occasionally see a bunch of turtles lined up on logs or branches that have fallen into a creek or some body of water along the road. It's not a place you could really walk but I do watch out for them. Fortunately I haven't driven my car in to get a closer look!

I always look for basking turtles at the lakes...it's so neat to see them lined up. Every now and then, one or more will be on elevated branches. I wonder how they manage to stay up there.

What a lucky find. And a beautiful photo, all those tones of green. Lovely.

Great shot! I love turtles. We have big snapping turtles around here, and I'll see them on the road every now and then. I always stop and do what I can to get them out of harms way.

I go for a walk around a retirement community for break time if I go into the office and they have a big pond full of turtles. They are pretty skiddish and hit the water quick as soon as I get near. The noise kind of startled me the first time I walked through.
    Thanks Everyone!!
