Super valid points girls. Now I’m totally undecided lol I mean though really would they step back just because I ask for a tiny bit more? I kinda don’t think so but then again it is Corp and I’m not a Corp HR person...

For 1k I probably wouldn't counter, but I would have upfront conversations about what the raise and promotion process will look like in the future, maybe asking for an early review after you finish the course.

Se already got back to me that the health insurance is a shared expense so fabulous that I wouldn’t have to shoulder it all. She also answered that all of my background checks have been completed. She did not specify about the drug screening and I don’t want to ask again about that specifically ( because that makes me look like I’ve got something to worry about or I’m just plain crazy lol although I am a bit neurotic I swear it would be my luck if something went wrong and I’d already given notice) so I believe I am going to just accept!

I think that is a wise decision. You will be with a company you love, have good probability for advancement and good health coverage at a reduced rate.

Let us know when it is final!!!!!!!!

I will call the lab later to confirm they have completed the drug screening and I will sign the offer letter and return it. I won’t give notice until those 2 things are done. Could / should be tomorrow! Omg. The nerves. I’ve been here for almost 10 years so to leave is big and necessary. Change is hard sometimes though lol

For sure change is hard, but the new opportunities should be something you should look forward to. Hope you can leave your present employer with a sense that they did nothing wrong by you but just realize you want to change. Never burn your bridges behind you or create walls in front of you.
