Woody (04-07-2018)
Thank you for providing this wonderful forum for people to come to who share a love of the wonderful Labrador breed. Molly has been gone a month now, & I still miss her a lot. Memories come flooding back, sometimes at unexpected times, like when I stepped on her favorite stuffed duck toy that she loved so much & heard it's familiar "Quack Quack Quack Quack Quack Quack! I can picture her so clearly proudly parading around with it, making it Quack over & over, & playing "tease" with it. There are a million reminders of her around here. Some bad memories too, of her last week here on Earth, but I hope those will fade with time.
I might not be coming on here as often as I used to, I don't have my girl to share pictures of or funny stories anymore. If I'm ever blessed enough to have another Lab, I'd be back a lot more again. DH is thinking maybe we shouldn't get any more big dogs.....I never say never, but for now we'll see how it goes I guess. We still have our Pug & a cat, but there is certainly somebody missing around here. There is a huge hole in my heart that won't be filled any time soon. Labs are very special, so everybody love your dogs! Hug 'em, pet 'em, train em', play with them & take them on walks, have fun with them. Best family dogs ever!
And thanks to everybody too, who was supportive & caring throughout Molly's life, and especially at the end. I guess I've been a member here for 13 years, & I appreciate the helpful & encouraging health & training tips, etc.
I will be thinking of everybody, & I'm sure I'll be checking in here from time to time, probably just not as often, & I especially wanted Woody to know how much I have always appreciated this board--thanks again, Woody!

I agree, Woody is special in my mind for providing this forum full of lab (and all dog) people.
Sending to you and hoping to come on here someday (soon) and see that a new furry friend has joined your family.

You have honorary Labs...don't think for one minute that you don't belong here.
I agree that Woody is the best and am grateful that he continues to provide this wonderful forum.
"Don't be a stranger," ya hear?

Don't you dare leave! You are part of the family now and your leaving would be heart breaking. We love you as much as we loved Molly.
There are enough ways to say Thank You Woody!

Would hate to see you leave and hope you come by and say hi to everyone. You could always share pics of your other fur babies. Sending you hugs.
I agree thank you Woody for this wonderful forum

You are too kind. I appreciate it. There is no reason to leave. We really are a pet and family type forum for the most part and everyone here enjoys just checking in with each other. So do please stop by and start a thread or two about what is happening with you or your other pets or lend a hand to somebody else in need of advice.
It's been a couple of years since Cooper left us and we still can't bring up his name in the house without somebody shedding a tear.

What dog fills up a hug better than a lab????? You do belong here even if there's no lab in your life.

“Because of the dog's joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift. It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”

Thank you so much, everybody! All your kind words brought another tear to my eye! I didn't really mean that to sound like "goodbye!" I just figured I might not be around as much, & wanted everybody to know I appreciated them, & will be thinking of you all even if I'm not around as much......but, as you can see, here I am today, so I guess this whole "Lab thing" is rather addictive! I'll be around!
